Hello friends, my name is Ravi Gundal and today I will show you how to draw closed eyes for beginners. This is a short tutorial and if you want to know how to draw both open eyes then click here.
But here are some tools you need before starting
Tools you need
- Smooth Paper
- HB Pencil
- Kneadable Eraser
- Blending Tools
- Flat Surface To Draw
Now you can start your drawing
Step 1- Start with a line
First of all draw a straight horizontal ine
Step 2- Draw three equal section on the line
Draw three equal section on the line. Two for the eyes and one for thespace between the eyes
Step 3- Draw the shape for the eyes
Draw the shape for the eyes. Draw half almond shape because eyes are closed
Step 4- Draw guideline for the eyebrows and nose
Draw the guideline for eyebrows and nose as shown in fig. Draw it with a light pencil because we have to erase it later
Step 5- Start the shading
Start the shading of the eye. Start with the light pencil and use dark pencil later. Do not use dark pencil directl. It gives your drawing very unrealistic look
Step 6- Add more layer
Add more layer of shading and blend. Use blending stumps to blend and if you donot have one then there are more tools you can use for blending. If you want to konw about the tools the click here
Step 7- Start drawing eyebrows
Start drawing eyebrows. If you don’t know to draw eyebrows the read my article how to draw eyebrows on paper
Step 8- Finish eyebrows
Complete the eyebrows and move to the eye section
Step 9- Add more shading to the eye
Add more shading to the eyes. Use a dark pencil this time to look eye more realistic
Step 10- Add highlights
Use kneadable eraser to highlight the area close to the eyelids. You can also use tombo mono eraser to highlight
Step 11- Draw eyelashes
Draw eyelashes. Start with the light pencil and the use dark one. Do not use straight strokes to drae eyelashes use curved strokes
Step 12- Final touchups
Add final touchups to your drawing and your drawing is ready to pop up
