How To Draw A Sparrow

hello friends today I will show you how to draw a sparrow and colour it.Here I am going to draw a house sparrow. So let’s get started. Before we start the drawing there are some tools you need.

Tools

• Graphite Pencil
• Colour Pencils
• Eraser
• Baby Oil
• Blender Pencil
• Smooth paper
• Paint brush

After having all these tools you can start your drawing step by step

Step 1: Start with a smal circle

First of all draw a small circle. It is the basic shape for the head.

Step 2 : Draw the body shape

Draw a shape below the circle as shown in figure below. This is the basic shape for the body of the sparrow.

Step 3 : Draw the tail

Now draw the tail of the sparrow as shown in figure.

Step 4 : Draw the beak and eye shape of sparrow

Now draw the beak and the eye shape of the sparrow.

Step 5 : Draw the sprig

Now draw the sprig for sitting of the sparrow.

Step 6 : Draw the wing shape

Draw the wing shape of the sparrow

This is a basic shape of the sparrow but we want to draw here a realistic sparrow. So to draw a realistic sparrow, I am using here a refference image to draw it very realistically. We have to do some changes in the shape of the body according to the refference image. Here we start.

Step 1: Draw the head shape

First of all, I am changing the head shape according to the refference.

Well you can also draw the bird by using grid method. But I am using here observation. Grid method is more easy than observation especially for the beginners.

Step 2 : Draw the body shape of the sparrow

Now I am changing the body shape according to the refference.

Step 3 : Draw the guidelines for the coloring

Now draw the guidelines for the colour.

Step 4 : Start the coloring

Start with the head. I am using here prisma colour pencil. You can use any if you want.

Step 5 : Colour the full body

Fill the perfect colour by using refference.

Step 6 : Blend

Because prisma colour pencil are wax based so we have to blend it. You can use a blender pencil or baby oil or paint thinner to blend colour. l am using here baby oil.

If you are using a paint thinner or baby oil then leave the paper for half an hour to dry.

Step 7 : Draw the beak and the eyes of the bird

Now draw the beak and the eye of the bird. I am using a graphite pencil. You can use any if you want. Graphite, charcoal or colour pencil.

Step 8 : fill the wings

after drawing head portion draw the wings

Step 9 : Final touch ups

Do some final touch ups and your drawing is ready to pop up.
